A showcase for some of New Zealand’s youngest musicians, The Kids Sing is the national competition and festival for primary and intermediate school choirs.

During daytime sessions, competitive choirs present a recital comprising one compulsory piece and several pieces of their own choosing, including a NZ piece, on which they will then be judged.

The choirs that enter non-competitively choose their own repertoire but all receive constructive feedback.

Evening Gala Concerts offer each choir the opportunity to showcase some of their performances, as well as a massed performance of the compulsory piece, and the presentation of awards.
