DJ Spinderella MC, a young Polynesian boy with two evil stepsisters and a wicked stepmother, must complete three dangerous tasks. Come along and meet the notorious Big Bad Wolf and his wolf pack, Jack and the Beanstalk, and Rumpelstiltskin, but most importantly help Spinderella get to the show!
Workshop: Learn one of the dances from the show and explore how to create and perform your own fairytale.
About the company
South Auckland-based theatre troupe Black Friars exists to re-story Pasifika in the largest Polynesian city in the world. They are educators and counsellors, facilitators and enablers, theatre-makers and storytellers. Embracing these multiple identities constitutes the fabric of the company. They are proud to be pan-Polynesian, poly-vocal performers invested in the construction of identity for Pasifika people.
